President Donald Trump is reportedly considering exemptions for automakers from certain tariffs, including those on Chinese auto parts, steel, and aluminum. This story was initially reported by Financial Times on Wednesday evening and was later confirmed by a White House spokesperson. Trump himself commented on Wednesday evening that existing 25% tariffs on Canadian car imports might increase, emphasizing a push for domestic auto production.

The company guided Q2 earnings between $1.21 and $1.47 per share, compared to estimates of $1.23, and projected revenue between $4.17 billion and $4.53 billion, beating the expected $4.13 billion. Texas Instruments noted that it does not expect to be impacted by ongoing macroeconomic uncertainty in the near term, though it will be cautious.

Additionally, ABC News reported that the Trump administration is considering potential exceptions for certain Chinese auto parts to reduce overlap between auto tariffs and those targeting steel, aluminum, and fentanyl-related goods.

Mobileye, in which Intel has a majority stake, reported earnings on Thursday morning. The company reported in-line earnings per share and stronger-than-expected sales for Q1 2025.

Roberts highlighted the upcoming grand opening of the Epic Universe theme park in Florida and noted that the company is looking to open a “new world-class theme park” in the United Kingdom.
