In The News
Microsoft, Apple, Meta, and Amazon.com
+0.32%
All four of these Mag 7 companies are slated to report earnings this week. Microsoft and Meta are scheduled to report earnings after the close on Wednesday, while Amazon and Apple are set to report on Thursday after the bell. Microsoft is also on watch after SemiAnalysis, a semiconductor-focused newsletter reported that Microsoft is halting 1.5GW of self-build datacenter projects that were originally set to launch in 2025 and 2026. This pause could signal shifting priorities or broader challenges within Microsoft's infrastructure expansion plans.
MSFT, AAPL, META, AMZN
NVIDIA Corp (NVDA)
-1.68%
Trading lower premarket after the Wall Street Journal reported that Huawei is preparing to test its new Ascend 910D AI chip, aiming to offer a powerful domestic alternative to Nvidia’s high-end processors amid tightening U.S. export controls. The company has reportedly engaged several Chinese tech firms for early testing, with initial samples expected by late May and mass production planned soon after. The move signals a major push to strengthen China’s AI hardware ecosystem.
Crypto Stocks
+1.34%
Trading higher as a group in tandem with a surge in Bitcoin. The cryptocurrency traded tightly between $93,500 and $95,300 throughout the weekend and has expanded this reach so far on Monday, reaching an intraday low below $93,000 and a high above $95,500.

Tesla Inc (TSLA)
+1.40%
Trading higher premarket after gaining 9.8% on Friday. The rally was attributed in part to new U.S. Department of Transportation guidelines that streamline regulations for self-driving cars. On Saturday, Tesla-focused news site Teslarati reported that the company’s Chinese division is developing a more affordable version of the Model Y, dubbed the ‘E80,’ featuring a smaller battery and fewer premium features. The model is expected to be priced between $20,500 and $28,800, with a potential release in late 2025 or 2026.
Chinese ADRs
+0.52%
The group remains on watch as trade tensions between the US and China continue to escalate. President Donald Trump maintains that he and his administration have spoken with officials from China about trade, a claim that Chinese government officials have repeatedly denied. On Monday morning, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that “all aspects of government are in contact with China” and that the decision to de-escalate tariffs will ultimately be up to China.

Webull Corp (BULL)
+8.05%
Gapping up after filing Form 20-F for fiscal 2024, as revealed after the bell on Friday. The stock has received ample retail attention since it began trading publicly via a business combination earlier this month.
The Boeing Company (BA)
+1.52%
Trading higher premarket. Riyadh Air CEO Tony Douglas said the airline is ready to buy Boeing planes originally intended for Chinese customers if trade tensions prevent their delivery, offering Boeing a potential solution amid escalating U.S.-China disputes. Separately, Airbus has finalized a deal to acquire several Spirit AeroSystems plants, including key sites in North Carolina, Northern Ireland, Morocco, and France, as part of a joint effort with Boeing to stabilize the struggling supplier.
Peloton Interactive Inc (PTON)
+5.72%
Trading sharply higher premarket after Truist upgraded the stock to Buy with an $11 price target. The upgrade was attributed to the company’s improving fundamentals, cleaned-up balance sheet, reduced operating expenses, and a clearer path to sustained free cash flow profitability. Truist noted that with subscriptions driving about two-thirds of revenue and valuations appearing washed out, Peloton looks mostly de-risked. Separately, the company has received preliminary approval from the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York for a proposed settlement resolving consolidated derivative lawsuits.
Hims & Hers Health Inc (HIMS)
+2.81%
The stock, which has become a favorite among retail traders, is trading sharply higher premarket. Approximately 33.3% of the float of Hims & Hers is sold short.
Bigbear.ai Holdings Inc (BBAI)
+8.22%
Continuing to trade higher premarket with strong volume after closing over 20% higher on Friday. On Thursday morning, the company announced that it will deploy its AI/ML-driven manufacturing planning and production platform for Austal USA, a major U.S. shipbuilder and Navy submarine module supplier. Roughly 22.9% of the stock’s float is sold short.
Portage Biotech Inc (PRTG)
+52.54%
Gapping up after reporting new preclinical data showing that PORT-7 demonstrated superior single-agent activity compared to an anti-PD1 antibody in a murine mesothelioma model. The stock has a float of 551,730 shares, approximately 55.9% of which are sold short.
