Research firm IDC forecasts that the company will ship a record 247.4 million iPhones in 2025, driven by surging demand for the iPhone 17 lineup—especially in China, where shipments are expected to jump 17% in Q4. The Financial Times reported that Anthropic is laying the legal and financial groundwork for a potential IPO as early as 2026, hiring Wilson Sonsini and pursuing a new funding round that could lift its valuation above $300 billion. The OpenAI rival has recently attracted massive investments from Microsoft and Nvidia, pushing its valuation higher, though the company says no final decision has been made about going public. The report indicates that OpenAI is also considering an IPO, though the timeline is uncertain.

The NHTSA expected to propose sharply reduced requirements for vehicles built from 2022 to 2031. This move continues a broader pro–gas-powered shift—ending the federal EV tax credit, relaxing emissions rules, and targeting key climate regulations—as Trump aligns policy with traditional automakers and internal-combustion vehicles.
