In The News

Meta Platforms Inc (META)

-0.12%

Bloomberg reported that the company has acquired Manus AI, a fast-growing startup focused on autonomous AI agents, as it accelerates its push beyond chatbots into digital “employee”-style agents. The deal, confirmed by Meta’s AI leadership, will see Manus integrated into Meta AI and other products. This move builds on Meta’s broader multi-billion-dollar investment in AI infrastructure and talent.

Tesla Inc (TSLA)

+0.62%

Trading marginally higher premarket after Baird reiterated an Outperform rating and $548 price target on the stock, citing strong YTD performance and growing investor focus on potential 2026 catalysts. The firm expects broader robotaxi rollouts, progress on Optimus commercialization, higher-volume Tesla Semi launches, and continued energy business growth to drive upside. Separately, Tesla published a self-compiled “delivery consensus of sell-side analysts” on its website, showing an average forecast of 422,850 vehicles for Q4. This number is well below Bloomberg’s estimate of about 445,000 and implies a sharp year-over-year decline.

iShares Silver Trust (SLV)

+3.44%

Poised to rebound after posting its worst session since 2021. Silver and other precious metals pulled back on Monday following a sector-wide rally the previous week. The pullback came as CME raised its margin requirement for silver to $25,000.

Memory Stocks

+0.24%

On watch as a group after Reuters reported that the US granted Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix annual licenses for 2026 to import chipmaking equipment to their China fabs, offering temporary relief as their existing export exemptions expire at the end of 2025. The move reflects Washington’s shift to an annual approval system as it tightens controls on advanced technology exports to China amid strong demand for memory chips driven by AI data centers.

MU, STX, WDC, SNDK

Microsoft Corp

-0.22%

CEO Satya Nadella has overhauled the company’s senior leadership and management approach to accelerate its own AI development as competition intensifies following changes to its partnership with OpenAI. According to a report from the Financial Times, the shake-up includes major external hires, expanded autonomy for AI leaders, and a more hands-on leadership style. These changes are reportedly aimed at speeding decision-making and keeping Microsoft ahead of rivals like Google and Amazon.

The Boeing Company (BA)

+0.63%

The Pentagon has awarded the company an $8.58 billion F-15 contract modification to design, test, produce, and deliver 25 new F-15IA jets for Israel. This deal includes an option for 25 more jets, with completion expected by December 2035. The Department of Defense also disclosed a separate $4.2 billion Boeing contract modification for depot maintenance and support services.

Applied Digital Corp (APLD)

+2.10%

Trading higher premarket after announcing plans to spin out its cloud business and combine it with Ekso to form a new company called ChronoScale. Applied Digital is expected to own about 97% of the combined entity. The deal is targeted to close in the first half of 2026, while Ekso continues to explore strategic options, including a potential sale of its remaining businesses. Approximately 34.3% of Applied Digital’s float is sold short.

T1 Energy Inc (TE)

+5.30%

Gapping up after completing its first sale of Section 45X production tax credits, selling $160 million of credits to an investment-grade U.S. buyer at $0.91 per dollar. The transaction implies about $146 million in gross proceeds, with a true-up scheduled for February 2026 after final production is confirmed. T1 Energy has a market capitalization of $1.57 billion and a short float of roughly 8.82%.

Under Armour Inc

+2.21%

Trading higher premarket following a significant insider purchase from Prem Watsa, a 10% owner of the company. The shareholder and affiliates purchased a total of 15.68 million shares of Class A and Class C stock at an average price of $4.53 per share. The transaction, which totaled $71 million, upped Watsa’s ownership stake to 38,233,809 shares.

UA, UAA

Antelope Enterprise Holdings Ltd (AEHL)

+50.34%

Gapping up on no apparent news. On Friday, December 19, the company filed to change the end of its fiscal year to September 30. Antelope Enterprise has a market capitalization of $3.86 million and a float of 590,000 shares, approximately 39.9% of which are sold short.
