Trading higher with volume premarket. On Monday, the company unveiled its 105-qubit Willow quantum chip, capable of solving problems in minutes that would take classical computers billions of years. Built in a new dedicated facility, Willow represents a significant step toward scalable and practical quantum computing. The launch sparked a back-and-forth exchange on X between Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai and Tesla CEO Elon Musk about the potential of solar energy.

Oracle Corp (ORCL)

Gapping down after reporting Q2 2025 earnings, with adjusted earnings of $1.47 and sales of $14.059 billion missing estimates of $1.48 and $14.113 billion, respectively. Cloud revenue grew by 24% year-over-year, while Cloud Infrastructure revenue grew by 52% thanks to a record level of demand for AI. The company did not provide a quarterly guide, but CEO Safra Catz said that Oracle Cloud revenue is on track to exceed $25 billion in fiscal 2025.

Crypto Stocks

Trading higher as a group amid continued volatility in Bitcoin as it wrestles with the $100,000 level. The cryptocurrency reclaimed $100,000 on Monday but closed the session near $97,000 and is trading around $97,500 as of Tuesday morning. Additionally, JP Morgan upgraded Marathon Digital to Neutral with a $23 price target; the analyst also upgraded Cleanspark to Overweight with a $17 price target.

Tesla Inc (TSLA)

Trading higher premarket following a price target bump from Morgan Stanley. The analyst raised its target price for Tesla, its top pick in the auto sector, from $310 to $400 while maintaining an Overweight rating. Separately, the week ending on December 8 marked Tesla’s second-best week in 2024 for vehicle registrations in China, according to CnEVPost.

Microsoft Corp (MSFT)

On watch ahead of the company’s annual shareholder meeting, where shareholders are slated to vote on a proposal to allocate at least 1% of the company's assets to Bitcoin. The proposal was brought forth by National Center for Public Policy research, which cited Bitcoin’s potential as an inflation hedge. Microsoft has advised against the proposal in order to preserve treasury stability. The meeting is scheduled for 11:30 AM ET.

Trading higher premarket after Piper Sandler raised its price target for the stock to $670 from $650 while maintaining an Overweight rating. The analyst cited strong earnings, improved teen engagement on Instagram and Facebook, and Meta's leadership in AI as reasons for the price target increase. While optimistic about Meta’s long-term prospects, the firm cautions that year-over-year comparisons in the first half of 2025 may be challenging.

On watch after its earnings report. Losses of $0.06 per share beat estimates of a 16-cent-per-share loss, while sales of $94.3 million beat estimates of $91.02 million. Subscription revenue grew by 22% year-over-year. The company guided Q3 revenue between $95.5 million and $100.5 million, compared to estimates of $97.57 million, and guided FY25 revenue between $378 and $398 million, compared to estimates of $382.57 million.

Chinese ADRs

Pulling back as a group following a rally on Monday, driven by reports that China is considering a “moderately loose” monetary policy going forward. The annual Central Economic Work Conference, during which China’s 2025 policy agenda will be set, is slated to begin later this week. Separately, China's exports grew by 6.7% in November, falling short of the expected 8.5% and marking a slowdown from October's 12.7% growth. Imports unexpectedly declined by 3.9%, the steepest drop since September 2023.

Trading lower premarket following its earnings report. Adjusted earnings of $1.16 per share and sales of $529.4 million beat estimates of $0.69 and $497.758 million, respectively. The company guided Q4 revenue between $515 million and $519 million, surpassing estimates of $506.13 million, and projected adjusted earnings between $0.62 and $0.65 per share, above estimates of $0.56. MongoDB’s FY25 revenue and EPS guides also exceeded expectations.

Gapping up after announcing that its supplemental new drug application for acetadote was approved by the FDA. The stock has a float of 7.83 million shares, approximately 3.9% of which are sold short.
