Crypto Stocks

+3.89%

Trading sharply higher as a group after Bitcoin reclaimed the $100,000 level once again. The cryptocurrency breached the key level on Thursday afternoon and has held it, trading above $102,500 as of Friday morning. Bitcoin has not traded at these levels since January 7, on which it reached a high of $102,750 (as per TradingView data). This rally follows a Bloomberg report suggesting that President-elect Donald Trump plans to issue an executive order declaring cryptocurrency a national priority, urging federal agencies to reassess digital asset policies and potentially halt ongoing crypto-related litigation.

Apple Inc (AAPL)

+0.73%

On watch after dropping by 4% on Thursday for its worst daily performance since the market-wide selloff on August 5, 2024. This weakness was likely driven by a Canalys report suggesting iPhone shipments declined 17% annually in 2024, including a 25% drop in Q4, for its largest-ever sales decline in the market. The drop was also attributed by some to a change in sentiment motivated by recent comments from supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who opined that the new Apple Intelligence features seem to have little impact on iPhone demand.
