Tesla, Alphabet, and Intel

+0.56%

All three tech companies are slated to post quarterly earnings this week; Tesla and Alphabet are scheduled to report after the bell on Wednesday, while Intel is set to report on Thursday after the bell. Analysts are looking for Tesla to post earnings of $0.53 per share and revenue of $25.36 billion and expect Alphabet to post earnings of $2.87 per share and revenue of $101.22 billion. Intel, meanwhile, is expected to post earnings of $0.21 per share and $14.42 billion in revenue.

TSLA, GOOGL, INTC

Advanced Micro Devices Inc (AMD)

+3.34%

Trading higher premarket amid speculation that the company has secured, or is close to securing, Anthropic as an AI chip customer. SemiAnalysis reported that AMD AI software VP Anush Elangovan referenced the Claude developer as a “customer” in a GitHub code file. This speculation comes ahead of AMD’s Advancing AI event, scheduled to take place on July 22 and 23.

Memory Stocks

+3.98%

Trading sharply higher as a group, even as sector peers like Samsung and SK hynix pulled back sharply during the overnight session. SK hynix’s US listing is poised to open more than 5% higher as of 7:25 AM ET on Monday. This premarket strength in US-traded memory names follows a week of underperformance for the sector, with Sandisk dropping by nearly 30% in the week of July 13-17 alone.

MU, SNDK, SKHY, STX, WDC

Meta Platforms Inc (META)

-0.30%

On watch as the company faces a Tennessee trial over allegations that Instagram’s design contributed to a youth mental health crisis by encouraging addictive use among teens. The state claims Meta violated consumer protection laws by knowingly creating features that drive compulsive engagement while misleading the public about platform safety.

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd (BABA)

+3.40%

Trading higher premarket after Bloomberg reported that the company unveiled a preview of its flagship Qwen3.8 Max AI model, featuring 2.4 trillion parameters. Alibaba reportedly claimed that the model delivers performance comparable to leading frontier AI systems, ranking behind only Anthropic's Fable 5. The model is now available to developers through Alibaba's Qoder platform, with an open-weight release planned in the near future. Separate reports suggest that Moonshot AI, the developer of the Kimi AI model, is reportedly preparing for a Hong Kong IPO within the next six months; Alibaba previously disclosed an approximately 36% stake in Moonshot AI, though its ownership may have been diluted by subsequent funding rounds.

Apple Inc (AAPL)

-0.43%

Morgan Stanley issued a note on the stock following a report from The Information which claimed that Apple’s first-generation M2 Ultra AI server chips are underperforming, raising concerns that weaker in-house AI infrastructure could hurt Siri performance or increase reliance on Google Cloud for more advanced AI workloads. The firm noted Apple's custom Baltra AI server chip remains on track for limited production in the first half of 2027, with a more powerful second-generation ASIC expected in 2028.

Oil and Energy Stocks

+0.15%

On watch as a group amid ongoing tensions between the US and Iran. On Sunday, US military forces carried strikes against Iranian targets for the ninth straight night; US Central Command said in a statement that the strikes “will continue degrading Iranian military capabilities used to attack commercial vessels and civilian mariners transiting the Strait of Hormuz”. Additionally, a source in Iran reportedly claimed that a 10-day pause has been proposed by mediators to allow for a potential revival of the interim deal between the US and Iran.

Space Stocks

+2.66%

Trading higher as a group after the US Air Force increased the contract ceiling for National Security Space Launch Phase 3 Lane 1 agreements to $17 billion from $5.6 billion. This expansion could impact eligible providers, including Rocket Lab, SpaceX, Blue Origin, ULA, and others. No funding has been committed yet, with future awards expected to be issued through individual task orders. Separately, SpaceX is targeting Thursday, July 23, for another Starship launch attempt after its previous flight experienced an engine issue. The company said it has modified the rocket’s propulsion system to address the problem ahead of the upcoming test.

CoreWeave (CRWV)

+3.89%

Trading sharply higher premarket after BofA reiterated its Buy rating and $140 price target on the stock, raising its FY26 capital expenditure estimate to $34 billion as the company accelerates AI infrastructure expansion. The firm expects operating margins to improve significantly through 2026 as new capacity comes online, while noting AI compute demand still exceeds supply despite competitive concerns from SpaceX and Meta.

Robinhood Markets Inc (HOOD)

+1.87%

Trading higher premarket after Bernstein raised its price target on the stock to $160 from $130 and maintained an Outperform rating. The analyst attributed the price target hike to strong growth potential from prediction markets, perpetual futures, and tokenized equities, which it expects will account for 23% of Robinhood’s revenue by 2028. Bernstein forecasts prediction markets revenue to grow at a 64% CAGR to $1.7 billion by 2028 and believes Robinhood's expanding product mix will drive earnings well above consensus despite near-term cryptocurrency weakness.

IREN Ltd (IREN)

+9.61%

Gapping up after raising its year-end 2026 annualized revenue run-rate target to over $4 billion from $3.7 billion after securing $2.8 billion in new AI cloud contracts. The company said approximately 85% of the target is now contracted, with customers funding about 45% of the associated GPU capital expenditures through prepayments.

The Boeing Company (BA)

+1.10%

The company is in focus throughout the week as it attends the Farnborough Air Show, running from July 20-24. Boeing is nearing FAA certification for its 737 MAX 7 and MAX 10 variants, with Deputy FAA administrator Chris Rocheleau telling Reuters that approval for the smaller model is “around the corner”; the larger model is expected to be approved shortly after. Boeing’s commercial aircraft chief said the company is prioritizing improving production rates and deliveries, noting its backlog remains strong and demand is not a concern.

Domino’s Pizza Inc (DPZ)

+7.39%

Gapping up after its Q2 2026 earnings report. Revenue of $1.19 billion narrowly beat estimates of $1.18 billion and represented 4.3% year-over-year growth, while earnings of $4.07 per share fell short of the $4.09 estimate. US same-store sales grew by 0.1%, below estimates of 0.6%, with international same-store sales declining by 0.1% compared to estimates of 0.5% growth.

Hut 8 Corp (HUT)

+14.82%

Gapping up after signing a second 15-year AI data center lease worth approximately $9.8 billion at its Beacon Point campus in Texas, doubling its investment-grade tenant’s contracted capacity to 704 MW. The agreement fully commercializes the 1 GW campus, increasing total base-term contract value to $19.6 billion and is expected to generate average annual net operating income (NOI) of about $1.31 billion.

Archer Aviation Inc (ACHR)

+6.31%

Trading sharply higher premarket after working with Anduril to introduceThunder, an autonomous hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft designed for runway-independent operations alongside crewed military aircraft. Its first flight planned for 2027. The tiltrotor platform supports modular payloads for defense and commercial applications, with full-scale surrogate flights already completed and commercial customer announcements expected soon. Roughly 16.7% of Archer’s float is sold short.

AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc (AMC)

+16.01%

Gapping up after its Q2 2026 earnings report. The company posted record quarterly revenue of $1.596 billion, representing 14.2% year-over-year growth. H1 2026 revenue grew by 16.9% year-over-year to $2.642 billion. Approximately 6% of the stock’s float is sold short.
