NVIDIA Corp (NVDA)

+0.73%

The Wall Street Journal reported that the company is in talks to provide up to $250 billion in financing guarantees for OpenAI’s planned 10-gigawatt Ohio data center project. This deal could secure long-term demand for Nvidia chips while helping OpenAI build its own AI infrastructure. Separately, Nvidia plans to invest $1 billion in Naver, gaining a 4.5% stake to support AI data center expansion. Nvidia also formed an industry coalition focused on AI safety and cybersecurity, working with the likes of Microsoft and Palantir on the initiative.

Memory Stocks

+3.33%

On watch as a group after shares of Chinese memory company CXMT shares surged 466% in their Shanghai trading debut, valuing the company at approximately $512.7 billion and making it China's most valuable publicly listed company. Additionally, the Wall Street Journal reported that Apple and Micron are locked in a lobbying battle over memory chip supply; Apple is pushing to use Chinese suppliers CXMT and YMTC to reduce costs and ease shortages, while Micron warns it could weaken the U.S. semiconductor industry. The dispute has intensified as memory prices surge, with Apple criticizing Micron’s high margins and AI capacity allocation while Micron argues past buyer pressure contributed to today’s supply constraints.

SK hynix Inc (SKHY)

+4.24%

Nvidia and SK Group unveiled an AI initiative valued at more than $500 billion, giving Nvidia access to SK hynix’s advanced memory supply for future AI systems. SK Telecom will also build a 2-gigawatt AI data center powered by Nvidia’s Vera Rubin chips and SK hynix’s HBM4 memory, expanding AI infrastructure capacity.

Oil and Energy Stocks

-6.32%

Trading sharply lower as a group after the US paused hostilities against Iran following two straight weeks of strikes. Iran has denied reports of a formal 10-day ceasefire and said it is not currently engaged in direct negotiations with Washington. While diplomacy efforts continue through Oman and China-backed initiatives, regional military actions by Saudi Arabia and Ukraine highlighted ongoing risks of wider escalation.

Space Exploration Technologies Corp (SPCX)

-0.55%

On watch after the company successfully launched its 13th Starship test mission, deploying 20 upgraded Starlink V3 satellites into suborbital space as the company works toward routine Starship operations by year-end. The higher-capacity satellites briefly connected with SpaceX’s existing Starlink network before following the planned trajectory back into Earth’s atmosphere and burning up.

Broadcom Inc (AVGO)

+2.54%

Samsung Electronics signed a partnership with the company valued at more than $200 billion through 2030. The deal expands cooperation across memory chips, foundry services, and advanced packaging to strengthen Samsung’s position in the AI semiconductor market. South Korea also unveiled $950 billion in AI initiatives involving Samsung, SK Group, and U.S. tech firms, including major chip supply agreements aimed at addressing surging demand for advanced AI infrastructure.

Rocket Lab Corp (RKLB)

+5.32%

Gapping up after securing its largest-ever launch contract, a $266 million U.S. Space Force award to provide 12 suborbital launches. The deal includes options for up to six additional missions, supporting missile-defense development. The first launch is expected no earlier than late 2026, with most missions scheduled to lift off from Rocket Lab's new launch site at the Pacific Spaceport Complex in Kodiak, Alaska.

Ford and General Motors

+1.91%

Jefferies upgraded both legacy automakers to Buy from Hold. The analyst raised its price target on Ford to $17.50 from $14.50, expecting its Q2 earnings report on July 28 to mark the company's earnings low point with production recovering, healthy US demand, and the potential for management to raise full-year guidance. The firm also cited improving capital allocation, stronger cash flow, lower warranty costs, and a favorable long-term outlook. Meanwhile, Jefferies hiked its price target for GM to $99 from $90, citing confidence that GM can generate more than $10 billion in free cash flow by 2027 through strong product launches, operational efficiencies, and growth in digital services.

D-Wave Quantum Inc (QBTS)

+8.08%

Gapping up after AT&T expanded its partnership with the company to use quantum computing technology for network optimization, including outage detection, technician routing, traffic management, and AI-driven network planning. Early testing showed D-Wave’s annealing technology reduced one optimization task from about one hour to under 15 seconds. AT&T is also exploring quantum security and communications applications.

Mobileye Global Inc (MBLY)

+5.22%

Trading sharply higher premarket after Piper Sandler upgraded the stock to Overweight from Neutral and raised its price target to $12 from $10, arguing the recent post-earnings selloff over the CEO transition has created an attractive entry point with shares near a valuation floor. The firm is optimistic about Mobileye's strategy to deploy its own humanoid robots and robo-taxis, believing it reduces reliance on slow-moving automakers and improves the company's long-term growth prospects.

Matinas BioPharma Holdings Inc (MTNB)

+68.68%

The biotech stock is gapping up on Monday morning. Matinas has a market capitalization of $5.54 million and a float of 11.43 million shares.
