Big Week for Megacap Tech Earnings and Economic Updates! BTC $70k Again? | Futures are trading higher ahead of a busy week with a Federal Reserve interest-rate decision, key tech earnings, and crucial labor data. Despite a 1% rise in major indexes on Friday due to optimistic inflation data, both the S&P 500 and Nasdaq posted losses last week after a disappointing start to the megacap tech earnings season. Investors are now focused on upcoming tech earnings from giants like Microsoft, Meta, Apple, and Amazon, seeking justifications for high valuations and the potential for continued AI-driven growth. Market hopes are pinned on the Fed signaling a rate cut in September, with any hawkish commentary from Wednesday’s FOMC meeting likely increasing selling pressure. Meanwhile, crypto stocks are trading higher in tandem with a new seven-week high for bitcoin. |
