Gapping down after an Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner carrying 242 people crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad en route to London Gatwick. The cause of the accident is still unknown and under investigation. Air India confirmed the tragic incident, stating that the injured are being transported to local hospitals while international protocols will guide the crash investigation. GE announced that it is sending a team to India in the wake of the crash.

Gapping up after its Q4 2025 earnings report. Adjusted earnings of $1.70 per share and sales of $15.9 billion beat estimates of $1.64 and $15.59 billion, respectively. Total revenue grew by 11% year-over-year, with cloud services revenue climbing by 14% and infrastructure revenue growing by 52%. The company provided in-line EPS and revenue guidance for fiscal Q1 2026 and expects cloud infrastructure growth of more than 70% for the fiscal year.

Trading lower premarket after a rocky session of trading that saw the stock closing relatively flat on the day, ending its two-day rally. CnEVPost reported that Xpeng’s G7 SUV, a rival for Tesla’s Model 3, received over 10,000 pre-orders in less than an hour. Additionally, Cathie Wood of Ark Invest spoke positively about Tesla on Thursday morning, calling it the “largest AI project on Earth” and noting that Ark has been picking up shares this week.

Gapping down after announcing a $1.75 billion convertible senior notes offering. The announcement follows the company’s Q1 earnings report, its first since adopting a Bitcoin Treasury strategy.

Reuters reported that the company will supply computing power to Google Cloud, which Alphabet will resell to OpenAI to support growing AI demand. This new arrangement builds on CoreWeave’s existing $11.9 billion contract with OpenAI and could bring in up to $4 billion more through 2029, highlighting its rising role in the booming AI infrastructure market.

During testimony in front of a Senate committee on Wednesday afternoon, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that the US is not considering a quid pro quo deal with China in regards to rare earth minerals and chips. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang commented on the AI situation in China once again in a CNBC interview, saying that America’s restriction of market access to China will lead companies like Huawei to take advantage. Additionally, AMD popped after the bell on Wednesday after The Information reported that Saudi Arabia is in talks with the company, as well as Cisco, for a cloud project.

The company announced that it is in active talks with major enterprise customers through its joint venture with Sharon AI to support a planned AI infrastructure buildout in Ector County, Texas. Although no formal deals have been finalized, the company is aligning its Permian Basin strategy to meet the needs of large-scale high-performance computing projects.
