In The News
Energy and Solar Companies
+4.57%
Trading sharply higher as a group after Reuters reported that the Trump administration is drafting a ban on imports of foreign-made energy inverters, with an FCC rule targeting equipment used to connect solar projects and batteries to the power grid. The proposal is driven by national security concerns that Chinese-made inverters could be used to disrupt electricity supplies. This rule is still under review and may change or be dropped.

AeroVironment Inc (AVAV)
+25.18%
Gapping up after its Q4 2026 earnings report, with revenue of $641.6 million and adjusted earnings of $1.84 per share beating estimates of $559.1 million and $1.47, respectively. Revenue grew by 133% year-over-year. Adjusted EBITDA came in at $140.1 million, more than doubling adjusted EBITDA of $61.6 million in the prior-year quarter. The company projected FY 2027 revenue between $2.125 billion and $2.225 billion, compared to estimates of $2.18 billion; its adjusted EPS outlook of $3.02-$3.34 for the same period came in well below estimates of $4.00.
Semiconductors and Memory Stocks
+0.67%
Several stocks in the group are consolidating near prior-session highs following solid performances in the back half of Monday’s session. AMD is on watch following a price target increase to $615 from $505 by Wells Fargo, who attributed the hike to stronger-than-expected EPYC server CPU demand, pricing upside, and confidence that AMD can exceed $20 EPS by 2028. Jefferies, meanwhile reiterated its Buy rating and $550 price target on Broadcom, arguing the recent pullback presents an attractive buying opportunity. The firm noted that Broadcom’s TPU roadmap remains on schedule and that its ASIC customer base continues to expand.

Tesla Inc (TSLA)
-0.67%
The stock closed more than 8% higher on Monday, ending the day near session highs, as traders reacted to the NHTSA closing its probe into the company’s vehicles related to concerns about power steering loss. Focus has turned to Tesla’s Q2 2026 deliveries, which are expected to be released on the morning on Thursday, July 2. According to consensus estimates, analysts expect Tesla to report the delivery of approximately 406,024 vehicles; this would represent a sequential uptick from the 358,023 vehicles delivered in Q1 of this year.
Comcast Corp (CMCSA)
+2.60%
Reuters reported that NBCUniversal is exploring growth opportunities in digital gaming and new entertainment franchises ahead of its planned spin-off from Comcast, though no deals are currently being discussed and any transactions would come only after the separation. Meanwhile, Comcast’s remaining cable and connectivity business is expected to focus on technology investments tied to data centers and AI. Analysts suggest NBCUniversal’s studios, theme parks, and Peacock streaming service could become attractive M&A targets over time, though Comcast CEO Brian Roberts denied this.
Super Micro Computer Inc (SMCI)
+2.60%
Poised to rebound following an 8% decline on Monday. The stock dropped after Bloomberg reported that Taiwanese authorities raided the company’s offices and related sites as part of an investigation into alleged smuggling of Nvidia AI chips to China via its server systems. Super Micro says it is cooperating with the probe. The investigation, which marks an expansion of Taiwan’s enforcement against AI chip diversion amid broader US export restrictions, could lead to tighter local laws.
Amazon.com Inc (AMZN)
+0.25%
Australia’s competition regulator has taken the company’s Australian unit to court, alleging its Prime Video subscription contracts included unfair terms that allowed the company to introduce advertising without properly compensating more than 1 million subscribers. The regulator claims Amazon.com Services LLC was involved in drafting and enabling the contracts, making it knowingly concerned in the alleged conduct. Separately, BofA weighed in on the stock, noting that the company is increasing prices on select AWS GPU reservation workloads by 20% starting July 1 after implementing a 15% increase in January. The firm expects this pricing power to add 1–2 percentage points to second-half AWS growth.
Crypto Stocks
-2.24%
Pulling back as a group following a fairly strong sector-wide performance on Monday, driven by a series of announcements from Strategy. The company introduced a new Digital Credit Capital Framework aimed at strengthening its preferred securities, preserving long-term Bitcoin exposure, and improving balance sheet flexibility through enhanced capital management tools. Strategy also announced the option of up to $2 billion in combined buybacks of preferred and common shares. Bitcoin reached a high of just under $60,700 on Monday but pulled back below $60,200 for the close. The cryptocurrency is trading around $59,300 as of 7:05 AM ET on Tuesday.

Rocket Lab Corp (RKLB)
+2.97%
Needham reiterated its Buy rating and $120 price target on the stock. The analyst sees Rocket Lab’s recently-announced acquisition of Iridium as a transformative step toward building a vertically integrated “space superpower” combining launch, satellite manufacturing, and communications. Needham expects the deal to enhance financials and enable expansion into satellite communications services by leveraging Iridium’s global L-band spectrum and established government and enterprise customer base.
Apple and Alphabet
+0.21%
On watch as a pair after the UK competition regulator proposed rules allowing developers on both companies’ app stores to direct users to alternative payment options. This moves aims to reduce reliance on in-app fees and increase competition. The regulator also said any fees Apple or Google charge for enabling such “steering” must be fair, lower than current commissions, and ultimately benefit consumers through lower prices or increased innovation.
AAPL, GOOGL
Uber Technologies Inc (UBER)
+0.01%
On Monday, the company announced the end of its partnership with Waymo in Phoenix, Arizona as it prepares to launch new EV offerings in the region. Both companies described the collaboration as a pilot program. Needham reiterated its Buy rating and $109 price target on Uber, saying the announcement is unlikely to have a meaningful operational impact since Uber represented only a low-single-digit share of Waymo's local fleet. The firm acknowledged investor concerns about Uber's long-term autonomous vehicle strategy.
Oklo Inc (OKLO)
+2.03%
Trading higher premarket after announcing the acquisition of Creative Engineers, a chemical process engineering firm with expertise in sodium and alkali-metal systems, for undisclosed terms. The deal strengthens Oklo's in-house liquid-metal engineering, fabrication, and manufacturing capabilities to support deployment of its sodium-cooled Aurora powerhouse technology.
Digital Realty Trust Inc (DLR)
-4.63%
Gapping down after Digital Realty agreeing to acquire a larger stake in three Northern Virginia data centers from Blackstone in a $3.5 billion cash-and-stock deal, gaining majority or full control of key facilities in Manassas and Sterling. The transaction, expected to close immediately, includes $1.2 billion in cash and $2.3 billion in shares. The sites are projected to stabilize between 2027 and 2028.
Redwire Corp (RDW)
+9.15%
Gapping up after winning a contract to supply its Penguin Mk2.5 VTOL drone system to the Taiwan Coast Guard through Taiwan Color Optics. The Tranche 1 award provides long-endurance unmanned systems for maritime surveillance and law enforcement, supporting day-and-night ISR missions using electro-optical and infrared sensors.

+208.33%
The Hong Kong-based apparel company is gapping up after announcing the appointment of Robin Hoksnes Karlsen as an executive director on its board. Karlsen founded and served as the CEO of AMIHAN Innovations, with 707 Cayman’s announcement noting that he has knowledge of the decentralized finance and Web 3.0 spaces.
