Pulling back after US President Donald Trump announced on Monday morning that he has instructed the Department of Defense to postpone strikes against Iranian power plants for the next five days. Trump said that the move followed two days of “very good and productive” discussions with Iran with regards to a “complete and total resolution” of the conflict between the countries. The foreign minister of Iran denied Trump’s claims, saying there are no ongoing talks between the countries. On Saturday, March 21 at 7:44 PM ET, Trump shared a Truth Social post in which he gave Iran forty-eight hours to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Trump warned that Iranian power plants would be struck if Iran failed to heed this deadline.

Palantir Technologies Inc (PLTR)

+1.61%

The company’s Maven AI system is set to become an official US military program of record, securing long-term adoption and funding for its battlefield targeting and command software. The move, backed by Deputy Defense Secretary Steve Feinberg, will accelerate deployment across all branches to enhance target detection and operational dominance.

Super Micro Computer Inc (SMCI)

+0.19%

On watch after closing more than 30% lower on Friday. The drop was driven by the unsealing of federal charges against co-founder Wally Liaw and two other Super Micro employees related to the alleged diversion of AI technology to China. Late on Friday afternoon, Super Micro announced that Liaw resigned from its board following the charges. The company stated the resignation was not due to internal disagreements and that it has taken action against others involved.

Gambling Stocks

+6.11%

Gapping up after the Wall Street Journal reported that Senators Adam Schiff and John Curtis are proposing a bipartisan bill to prohibit sports and casino-style betting contracts on prediction markets regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. The measure would target platforms such as Kalshi and Polymarket’s US operations.

Airlines and Cruise Lines

Trading higher premarket as a group in antipathy with a decline in oil after President Donald Trump indicated "productive” talks between the US and Iran. Prior to Trump’s announcement, Reuters reported that an internal memo showed that United Airlines is cutting additional unprofitable flights and reducing capacity over the next two quarters; this move comes as the company prepares for sustained high fuel costs driven by geopolitical tensions. CEO Scott Kirby warned oil could reach $175 per barrel and stay above $100 through 2027, potentially adding $11 billion annually to fuel costs and prompting further cuts to off-peak routes and international service.

Elon Musk announced that Tesla and SpaceX plan to build two advanced chip factories in Austin as part of Musk’s “Terafab” vision. One of these factories will be designated for vehicles and humanoid robots, and the other will be designated for AI data centers, including space-based computing. Musk said demand from his companies could eventually exceed global chip supply, though no timeline was provided and similar ambitious projects have faced delays.

Apple, Amazon, and Alphabet

+1.21%

Reuters reported that broadcasters led by the ACT urged EU antitrust chief Teresa Ribera to subject smart TV and assistant ecosystems from big tech companies to stricter rules under the Digital Markets Act due to their growing market power. They argue platforms like Android TV, Fire OS, and Tizen should be designated as “gatekeepers” as their rising market share highlights Big Tech’s increasing encroachment into the broadcasting industry.

NVIDIA Corp and Nuclear Plays

+1.55%

On watch as a group after Nvidia and Emerald AI announced partnerships with six energy firms—including AES, NextEra Energy, and Vistra—to build AI data centers that can connect rapidly to power grids and operate as flexible energy assets. Using Nvidia’s Vera Rubin DSX AI Factory design and Emerald AI’s Conductor platform, these facilities will balance AI computing with co-located energy generation and storage, potentially unlocking up to 100 gigawatts of U.S. grid capacity.

Synopsys Inc (SNPS)

+3.97%

Trading higher premarket after Reuters reported that Elliott Investment Management has built a multibillion-dollar stake the company and plans to push for higher sales and improved margins. Mobileye Global Inc (MBLY)

+5.91%

Trading sharply higher premarket after securing a driver monitoring contract with a major U.S. automaker, with production slated to begin in 2027. The program will equip millions of vehicles across multiple models, integrating Mobileye’s monitoring system with its EyeQ6L chip.

Meta Platforms Inc (META)

+1.91%

The Wall Street Journal reported that CEO Mark Zuckerberg is developing a personal AI “CEO agent” to streamline decision-making and retrieve information faster. This reported move is part of Meta’s broader push to give every employee their own AI assistant. The initiative reflects Meta’s strategy to boost productivity, flatten its structure, and compete with AI-native startups, while rapidly expanding internal AI tool adoption across the company.

Grab Holdings Ltd (GRAB)

+3.92%

The company announced plans to acquire Delivery Hero’s foodpanda Taiwan business for $600 million in cash, marking Grab’s first expansion outside Southeast Asia. The acquisition is expected in the second half of 2026. The company expects the deal to contribute at least $60 million in adjusted EBITDA by 2028 while maintaining its 2026 EBITDA guidance.

Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc (FFAI)

+20.35%

Gapping up after announcing that the US Securities and Exchange Commission has closed its investigation with no enforcement action, removing a major overhang tied to its 2021 SPAC and PIPE-related disclosures. The company said the resolution should improve its ability to secure financing and partnerships after prior compliance concerns strained relationships with banks and investors. Approximately 25.3% of Faraday’s float is sold short.
