In The News

Trump Media & Technology Group Corp (DJT)

+8.71%

Gapping up after announcing a partnership with Crypto.com to launch a series of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) under its Truth.Fi brand, featuring a mix of digital assets and securities with a "Made in America" focus. The ETFs, expected to debut later this year, will include Bitcoin, Cronos, and other cryptocurrencies. Crypto.com will be managing the backend technology and custody services.

Tesla Inc (TSLA)

+1.36%

Trading higher premarket following an optimistic analyst note from Piper Sandler. The firm reiterated its Overweight rating on Tesla with a $450 price target, noting that Tesla's strong recent registration data suggests a possibility of flat year-over-year growth in Q1 2025. However, the firm expects overall Q1 deliveries to decline due to a larger impact from factory shutdowns in the U.S. and Europe. Additionally, Tesla sales in Europe dropped by 42.6% year-over-year in February.

Meta Inc (META)

+0.79%

Trading marginally higher premarket after the Wall Street Journal reported that the company is introducing a €13/month ad-free subscription for Facebook and Instagram in the EU. The reported service is being added to comply with EU privacy rules restricting ad targeting without consent. Desktop users will pay around €10/month due to the lack of app store fees.

Apple Inc (AAPL)

+0.04%

Antitrust officials in the EU are likely to close their investigation into the company’s iPhone browser restrictions, as reported by the EU, as reported by Bloomberg. The move follows policy revisions made by Apple to align with new EU digital market regulations. Additionally, an analyst from Loop Capital reported that the company is working to place orders for Nvidia GB300 NVL72 systems valued at roughly $1 billion. The Loop note also noted that Apple is working with Dell and Super Micro towards a server cluster for generative AI projects.

Chinese ADRs

-1.78%

Trading lower as a group in tandem with a drop in Chinese stocks during Tuesday’s overnight session as investors await potential stimulus from Beijing amid economic headwinds. The Hang Seng Tech Index fell 3.8%, nearing a 10% correction, while Alibaba slid nearly 4% amid concerns over a datacenter bubble.
