Trading lower premarket following its Q3 2025 earnings report. Adjusted earnings of $0.50 per share missed estimates of $0.54, while sales of $28.095 billion beat estimates of $26.239 billion. Automotive revenue was reported at $21.21 billion, up 6% on a year-over-year basis, while operating income dropped by 40%. CEO Elon Musk confirmed that Tesla’s AI 5 chip will be built by TSMC and Samsung and announced that production of the Cybercab will begin in Q2 2026.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the Trump administration is in talks with several quantum-computing firms to provide at least $10 million in federal funding in exchange for government equity stakes. These firms include IonQ, Rigetti, and D-Wave Quantum, though Quantum Computing is also reportedly considering a deal. The move signals Washington’s growing effort to back and benefit from next-generation technologies like quantum computing.

Gapping down following its Q3 2025 earnings report. Adjusted earnings of $2.65 per share beat estimates of $2.45, while sales of $16.331 billion beat estimates of $16.088 billion. The company reported year-over-year growth in all three of its revenue segments, with software and infrastructure revenue growing by 10% and 17%, respectively. IBM guided revenue growth of greater than 5% for the fiscal year, an increase from its previous guide of “at least” 5% revenue growth.

Trading higher premarket the Quark AI Glasses — priced from 4,699 yuan ($659) and shipping in December — and a new AI Chat Assistant within its Quark app. These products are part of the company’s broader push to expand AI offerings beyond enterprise customers and into the consumer space. The glasses, powered by Alibaba’s Qwen large language model, feature hands-free calling, music streaming, and real-time translation. The offering positions Alibaba to compete with Meta and Xiaomi in the emerging smart glasses market.
American Airlines Group Inc (AAL)

Trading higher premarket after its Q3 2025 earnings report. The company reported adjusted losses of $0.17 per share, narrower than the expected loss of $0.28 per share, with sales of $13.691 billion similarly beating estimates of $13.628 billion. American Airlines guided adjusted earnings between $0.45 and $0.75 per share for Q4, well above estimates of $0.31, and projected EPS between $0.65 and $0.95 for the fiscal year.

Sky News reported that the company has made a multimillion-pound investment in THG Ingenuity through a convertible instrument that could give it a small equity stake at a valuation of around $1 billion. The deal expands their partnership to integrate Google Cloud’s generative AI and data analytics with THG Ingenuity’s logistics platform. Separately, Alphabet’s Waymo plans to begin manual testing of its autonomous vehicles at Newark Liberty International Airport, aiming to expand its robotaxi service to the New York City area.

Capital expenditures came in at $9.6 million for the quarter, with customer billings being reported at $12.8 billion. Alongside its earnings release, QuantumScape announced that it has achieved one of its key goals for FY25 by commencing shipment of QSE-5 cell samples.

The stock closed 1.1% lower on Wednesday despite gapping up sharply to start the session, reaching intraday highs near $7.40 and closing at $3.58. Roughly 63% of the stock’s float is sold short.

The company announced that it will discontinue development of its experimental cytomegalovirus (CMV) vaccine, mRNA-1647, after it failed to meet the main efficacy goal in a late-stage trial involving 7,500 women. The vaccine showed a lower-than-expected efficacy of 6% to 23%, leaving congenital CMV — a virus that can cause birth defects — without an approved preventive vaccine.
Intel Corp and Mobileye Global Inc

Trading marginally lower as a pair after Mobileye, in which Intel is heavily invested, reported Q3 2025 earnings. Adjusted earnings of $0.09 per share were in-line with analyst estimates, while sales of $504 million beat estimates of $480.861 million. Mobileye raised its sales guidance for 2025 to $1.845 billion-$1.885 billion, compared to estimates of $1.847 billion. Intel is scheduled to report earnings after the bell on Thursday, October 23.

Trading sharply higher premarket following its Q3 2025 earnings report, with adjusted earnings of $2.82 per share and sales of $10.408 billion beating estimates of $2.57 and $10.144 billion, respectively. The company raised its adjusted EPS guide for FY25 to $10.60-$10.70 per share, above estimates of $10.54, and lowered its sales guide for the same period to $40.47 billion-$40.9 billion, compared to estimates of $40.841 billion. Honeywell provided weaker-than-expected EPS and sales guidance for Q4 2025.
T-Mobile US Inc (TMUS)

The company reported adjusted earnings of $2.59 per share and sales of $21.957 billion for Q3 2025, beating estimates of $2.39 and $21.924 billion, respectively. Service revenue grew by 9% year-over-year, while postpaid service revenue grew by 12%. The company raised its FY25 guidance for total postpaid net adds, postpaid phone net adds, and fiber net adds.
