The company’s OpenAI partnership will allow it to become the first digital wallet integrated into ChatGPT, enabling users to shop and complete purchases directly within the chatbot starting next year. For Q3, PayPal reported adjusted earnings of $1.34 per share and sales of $8.417 billion, beating estimates of $1.20 and $8.227 billion, respectively. Payment volume grew by 8% year-over-year, though payment transactions dropped by 5%. The company raised its FY25 EPS estimates, though its EPS guide for Q4 was in-line with expectations.

The company announced on Tuesday morning that it is cutting 14,000 jobs, though certain employees may be offered a 90-day window for internal job searches. On Monday afternoon, Reuters reported that the company plans to cut up to 30,000 corporate jobs—about 10% of its white-collar workforce—in the largest layoff in company history. The move, led by CEO Andy Jassy, is part of a major restructuring to reduce costs, simplify management, and leverage AI to eliminate repetitive roles.

NVIDIA Corp (NVDA)

CEO Jensen Huang is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech at the company’s GTC Washington conference at 12:00 PM ET on Tuesday, October 28. UBS analysts expect Nvidia to emphasize opportunities in accelerating CPU-based data processing using its specialized software libraries, while also addressing ongoing challenges and prospects in China. Separately, US President Donald Trump announced that he is set to meet with Huang on Wednesday.

Both semiconductor stocks are pulling back following individual announcements on Monday. Qualcomm closed 11% higher on Monday after unveiling its new AI200 and AI250 chips for data centers, designed to deliver powerful generative AI performance with high memory capacity and lower operating costs. Meanwhile, AMD and the US Department of Energy announced two next-generation supercomputers to be deployed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory as part of a $1 billion public-private effort to advance America’s AI and scientific research capabilities.

Trading higher premarket following its Q3 2025 earnings report, with adjusted earnings of $0.11 per share and sales of $949.626 million beating estimates of $0.08 and $885.173 million, respectively. The company raised its GAAP EPS guide for the fiscal year to $0.37, above estimates of $0.31, and raised its sales guidance for the same year to a better-than-expected $3.54 billion. Additionally, CEO Anthony Noto reiterated the company’s commitment to crypto.

United Parcel Service Inc (UPS)

Gapping up after its Q3 2025 earnings report. Adjusted earnings of $1.74 per share beat estimates of $1.31, while sales of $21.4 billion beat estimates of $20.832 billion. Domestic revenue dropped by 2.6% year-over-year, while international revenue grew by 5.9%. Revenue in the Supply Chain Solutions segment dropped by 22.1% year-over-year due impacts from the Coyote divestiture in 2024. UPS guided $24 billion in sales for Q4, exceeding expectations of $23.827 billion.

UnitedHealth Group Inc (UNH)

Trading higher premarket following its Q3 2025 earnings report. Adjusted earnings of $2.92 per share beat estimates of $2.79, while sales of $113.161 billion beat estimates of $113.064 billion. Earnings from operations declined by 50% year-over-over-year, though revenue in its benefits and health services segments grew by 16% and 8%, respectively. UnitedHealth raised its adjusted EPS and GAAP EPS guidance for fiscal 2025, both of which now exceed analyst estimates.

NextEra Energy Inc (NEE)

The company announced a partnership with Google to restart Iowa’s Duane Arnold nuclear power plant, which was shut down five years ago. Google has agreed to purchase electricity from the 615-megawatt facility for 25 years, marking a major step toward expanding clean energy capacity to meet growing AI-related power demand. NextEra also reported Q3 2025 earnings, posting better-than-expected EPS but lower-than-expected sales for quarter. The company affirmed its prior adjusted EPS guidance for fiscal years 2025, 2026, and 2027.

Reuters reported that a federal judge has decertified a major class action lawsuit accusing Apple of monopolizing the iPhone app market, ruling that the plaintiffs failed to present a reliable model to show classwide injury and damages. The decision overturns a 2024 certification that allowed tens of millions of App Store customers to sue collectively, after Apple’s expert found significant errors in the plaintiffs’ data model.

The company posted adjusted earnings of $0.67 per share and sales of $4.272 billion, narrowly beating estimates of $0.66 and $4.227 billion, respectively. Core operating margin rose by 130 basis points on a year-over-year basis. The company guided Q4 sales of $4.35 billion, beating estimates of $4.254 billion, and its EPS projection for the same period similarly exceeded estimates.

Gapping up after its Q3 2025 earnings report. Adjusted earnings of $0.70 per share beat estimates of $0.43, while sales of $3.117 billion exceeded estimates of $3.014 billion. The company reported 21.2 total members as of the end of the quarter, marking a 2.3% year-over-year decline. Average order value for the quarter was reported at $317, up from $310 in Q3 2024.

Royal Caribbean raised its adjusted EPS guide for the year to $15.58-$15.63, missing estimates of $15.69 but representing an increase of approximately 32% year-over-year.

WeRide and Pony AI

On watch as a pair after Bloomberg reported that Uber plans to invest in both companies’ Hong Kong IPOs with about $100 million expected to go into Pony’s $972 million raise. The company is also considering participation in WeRide’s $398 million listing, extending its prior investments and partnerships with both firms in the US and Middle East.
