In The News

Advanced Micro Devices Inc (AMD)

+25.79%

Gapping up after OpenAI struck a multibillion dollar deal with the company that includes a warrant for up to 160 million AMD shares, potentially giving OpenAI a 10% stake in the company. OpenAI has agreed to deploy 6 gigawatts of AMD’s Instinct GPUs over several years, starting with 1 gigawatt in late 2026. The agreement makes AMD a key strategic partner for OpenAI, marking one of the largest GPU deployment deals in the AI industry to date.

Crypto Stocks

+3.15%

Trading higher as a group after Bitcoin made a new all-time high above $125,700 over the weekend, breaking its previous record near $124,520 from August 14, 2025. As of the new high on Sunday morning, Bitcoin was up 34% year-to-date and had gained 102% on a year-over-year basis. Ethereum was similarly strong over the weekend and is poised to continue its gains on Monday.

Tesla Inc (TSLA)

+2.04%

Trading higher premarket after posting two teaser videos on X hinting at an announcement on October 7. One video featured a spinning vehicle component and the other featured car headlights, sparking speculation of a new model reveal. Analysts and fans are split between two possibilities — the long-delayed next-generation Roadster or a lower-cost mass-market vehicle seen as critical to boosting Tesla’s slowing sales momentum.

NVIDIA Corp (NVDA)

-2.31%

Goldman Sachs raised its price target on the stock to $210 from $200 while keeping a Buy rating, citing optimism around Nvidia’s strategic partnerships with OpenAI and other firms. However, the bank cautioned that Nvidia’s growing role as both supplier and investor—amid OpenAI’s potential $75 billion infrastructure spend—could raise concerns about “circular revenue” and pressure the stock’s valuation multiple. Nvidia is also on watch after competitor AMD struck a massive deal with OpenAI just weeks after Nvidia announced a $100 billion investment in the latter entity.

Micron Technology Inc (MU)

+3.60%

Trading sharply higher premarket after Morgan Stanley upgraded the stock to Overweight from Equal-Weight and raised its price target to $220 from $160. The upgrade was attributed in part to stronger-than-expected momentum in core DRAM pricing. The firm noted that DDR5 and server DRAM prices are rising double digits into Q4 and Q1, with industry checks suggesting potential supply tightness and further upside to current estimates.

Intel Corp (INTC)

+0.54%

On watch after technology news website SemiAccurate claimed that Advanced Micro Devices is not likely to become a customer of Intel’s foundry business. This report, published on Friday afternoon and citing “multiple people on both sides”, contradicts a report from Semafor published earlier that week suggesting that the companies are in talks. The Semafor report noted that discussions between AMD and Intel were in early stages.

UiPath Inc (PATH)

+10.08%

Trading sharply higher premarket. On Tuesday, September 30, the company announced a slew of partnerships and deals with major players in the tech space. These deals involve companies like OpenAI, Google, Snowflake, Nvidia, and Microsoft.

Quantum Computing Inc (QUBT)

-13.28%

Gapping down after announcing an oversubscribed private placement with institutional investors to sell 37.2 million shares of common stock, expected to raise $750 million in gross proceeds. The funds will be used to support commercialization, strategic acquisitions, production expansion, and general corporate purposes. Approximately 18% of the stock’s float is sold short.

Archer Aviation and Joby Aviation

+3.24%

Both stocks are trading higher premarket after Tesla appeared to tease a new vehicle unveiling in a set of videos. One of the videos shared on social media featured a spinning component that resembles a propeller-drone, leading to speculation that Tesla’s announcement will involve the air mobility sector. Archer and Joby have short floats of 18.6% and 11.8%, respectively.

ACHR, JOBY

Defense and Drone Companies

+4.06%

Semafor reported that the US is negotiating an arms deal with Ukraine that would see Kyiv provide its advanced drone technology to Washington in exchange for potentially billions in American weapons. Ukraine’s defense sector has surged 350% over the past three years, making it a global leader in low-cost and AI-powered drone innovation.

PLTR, AVAV, KTOS, AIRO, RCAT, PDYN

Firefly Aerospace Inc (FLY)

+8.78%

Gapping up after agreeing to acquire defense technology firm SciTec for about $855 million in a deal funded through $300 million in cash and $555 million in shares. The acquisition, following Firefly’s $9.84 billion Nasdaq debut in August, will integrate SciTec’s defense analytics into Firefly’s space systems to strengthen its national security and space service capabilities. The deal is set to close by the end of the year.

OneMedNet Corp (ONMD)

+43.69%

The company announced a partnership with Palantir to use its AI platform as the backbone of OneMedNet’s iRWD™ network, enabling secure, real-time access to anonymized clinical data for life sciences and healthcare organizations. The collaboration positions OneMedNet to capitalize on the projected $868 billion AI-driven healthcare market by 2030 through scalable, recurring revenue opportunities built on Palantir’s advanced analytics infrastructure.
