Gapping down after its earnings report. The company reported adjusted earnings of $1.24 per share and sales of $13.072 billion, exceeding expectations of $1.20 and $12.96 billion, respectively. CEO Hock Tan attributed the results to strength in the company’s AI and VMware segments, with total Q3 revenue growing by 42% on a year-over-year basis. For Q4 2024, Broadcom guided revenue of approximately $14 billion, slightly below analyst estimates of $14.04 billion.

On watch as a pair after being sued for alleged patent infringement by Xockets, a Texas-based company. The lawsuit, which was field on Thursday afternoon, claims the tech giants used Xockets’ data processor technology without permission to advance AI development. Xockets additionally accused Nvidia and Microsoft of antitrust violations, alleging collaboration to suppress the value of Xockets' technology in the market.

Britain's antitrust regulator, the CMA, has preliminarily accused the company of abusing its dominant position in digital advertising by favoring its own ad exchange, potentially harming competition among British publishers and advertisers. Google has disputed the findings, saying that the accusations represent a misunderstanding of the ad tech business as a whole.
Qualcomm and Intel

On watch as a pair after Reuters reported that Qualcomm is exploring the acquisition of select segments from Intel, including its client PC design business, in a strategic move to expand its product offerings. Intel, facing financial challenges, is considering divesting business units, though Qualcomm has not yet approached Intel formally about the potential acquisition. Qualcomm is trading lower premarket, while Intel is trading slightly higher.

The company guided Q3 revenue between $345 million and $350 million, compared to estimates of $347.24 million, and projected revenue for fiscal 2025 between $1.42 billion and $1.425 billion, above estimates of $1.41 billion. UiPath also expanded its buyback program by $500 million.
