Pulling back after closing more than 177% higher on Wednesday, the company’s best day on record. Why it matters: The rally was driven by a successful trial of Merck and Moderna’s personalized mRNA cancer vaccine. When combined with Keytruda, the vaccine met the main goal in a Phase 3 trial of more than 1,100 high-risk melanoma patients, significantly extending the time patients remained cancer-free and reducing the risk of distant spread.
